An Up Close Look at Jewish Response to Ukrainian Refugees

Harris Chorney, CBD’s Immediate Past President and current Board Chair of the Jewish Alliance of Greater RI, recently travelled to Poland to learn about Poland’s small Jewish community response to welcoming thousands of refugees who came to escape the Russian invasion. The trip was so personally meaningful that Harris would like to share his experience, from meeting with refugee families to meeting with volunteers in local agencies that are providing shelter, food and clothing. Hear about refugees’ experiences as they were forced to leave Ukraine, coming to a foreign country, and what lies ahead for many of them.
