Sewing Bags for Foster Kids Project April 27
The Tikkun Olam Committee (TOC) is looking for volunteers for our annual “Sewing of bags for Foster Children” to be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025 1:00-4:00 pm at Congregation Beth David. Last year, we made and donated to DCYF 54 cloth bags! The bags are given by social workers when the child moves to a new foster home. The bags replace plastic bags that would normally be given to the child for their possessions. All fabric and supplies are provided.
The TOC is also requesting donations of travel-sized toiletries, (facecloths, diapers, shampoo, soap, hairbrushes) to accompany the completed tote bags to DCYF. A bin will be available at CBD for those items until Sunday April 27.
