Finance
Bob Hicks
Oversees the financial condition of Congregation Beth David, for the investment of all designated, endowment and other capital funds of Congregation Beth David and for the annual financial budget.
Ritual
Steve Levine
Supervises and executes plans for Shabbat, High Holidays and festivals services, and, working with other committees, develops enhancements to traditional Shabbat services, such as “Shabbat on the beach” service.
House
Alvin Gabrilowitz
Supervises the maintenance, improvement and repair of CBD’s building and its property and implements policies and practices related to the use of the building.
Religious School
Shayna Cohen and Rosie Sosnowski
Oversees the activities of the Hebrew School and, working with the Education Director, provides input for school curriculum and programs designed to enhance the educational and learning experience of Jewish children.
Membership
Beryl Chapman
Develops initiatives to obtain and retain members, conducts out-reach to prospective members, and coordinates new member Shabbat service and Shabbat dinner services, and receives, reviews and processes applications for membership.
Publication & Communication
Creates and disseminates information about activities, events, volunteer opportunities, and more for the Congregation Beth David community and community at large, and oversees website design and content.
Program
Arlene Hicks and Liz Karp
In concert with other committees, develops, promotes, and coordinates educational activities and programs for the members of the CBD and Jewish at-large communities.
Tikkun Olam
Bob Fricklas
Oversees social action initiatives and actions which will help better the lives of individuals in the CBD and at-large communities, particularly those of the Jewish faith but not exclusively.
Caring Committee
Beverly Narciso
Coordinates assistance to members and their families when there is an illness, injury, or hospitalization.
Fundraising
Frank Prosnitz
Oversees the major fundraising activities of CBD, including the Annual Appeal, plus identifies and implements new fundraising initiatives.
