Sewing for Foster Children
Join together to sew and put together bags for foster children in Rhode Island. Must show proof of vaccination and booster. Mask wearing is required in the building. We need: Sewers, helpers, sewing machines, ironing boards, irons. This is a fun activity for all ages and we will be helping others in need. Harris Chorney, CBD’s Immediate Past President and current Board Chair of the Jewish Alliance of Greater RI, recently travelled to Poland to learn about Poland’s small Jewish community response to welcoming thousands of refugees who came to escape the Russian invasion.
